DESCRIPTION:The Rogue Forest Restoration Partnership invites you to please join us for a Community Meeting to learn about upcoming restoration projects in the Applegate Valley. \nThe Rogue Forest Restoration Partnership (RFRP) – a collaboration between state and federal agencies\, and local non-profits – is launching a multi-year forest restoration initiative at six sites across the Rogue Valley. This work is funded largely through a $6 million grant from the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board\, with state lottery dollars. \nThe Applegate community is invited to join representatives from RFRP to learn about the three project sites in the Applegate Valley. We are excited to share how this initiative will make our forests\, watersheds and communities healthier and more resilient. This is a great opportunity to learn more and ask questions. DESCRIPTION:Native plants support pollinators and wildlife\, and they require fewer resources to thrive. Learn why\, how\, when\, and where to plant and replant with native species\, including wildflowers\, grasses\, shrubs\, and trees. We will focus on restoration of understory plant communities and how native species help to reduce noxious weed infestations and wildfire risks.
