How do you build a trail high on the slopes of the Applegate Valley through an incredibly beautiful landscape without a machine? One swing at a time.
The Applegate Trails Association has entered the home stretch in creating the first stage of the Applegate Ridge Trail. Sunday, April 30th, is the second opportunity for volunteers to help build the East ART and we have plenty of polishing left to do. We provide tools, food, camaraderie and views you won’t believe! If you have a favorite pole saw or loppers, bring it. There are a variety of tasks for all skill levels. We meet at 8:30 a.m. at the end of BLM road 38-2-29.1 which is off Sterling Creek Road. Look for the signs to the trailhead 150 yards past the 4 mile marker.
RSVP is always appreciated (Josh at [email protected]) or just show up. We quit in time to eat lunch back at the newly improved trailhead by 1:30 p.m.
