Hike & Learn: Geology of Grizzly Peak with Geologist Jad D’Allura

On Friday September 7, join hike leader and geologist Jad D’Allura for an informative talk in the Ashland Outdoor Store. Jad will delve into the geology of Grizzly Peak, discussing regional tectonics, development of landscapes, volcanic rock characteristics, and identification of ancient volcanic rocks and soils.
On Saturday morning (September 8, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm), we will hike to Grizzly Peak, tracing it’s geologic story along the way.
Registration is required to attend the Saturday hike.
