The Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument contains one of the largest known populations of Great Grey Owls in the United States. Birder and Author, Harry Fuller, will discuss this charismatic bird which breeds in the Oregon portion of the Monument, some of the other birds that share its habitat, and the effects of climate change.
The Saturday field trip (October 13, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm) will take us to Soda Mountain and to Little Hyatt Lake. Come and enjoy the talk, even if you are not going on the hike.
Registration is required to attend the Saturday hike.
