Native plug planting at Mt. Ashland Ski Resort

June 1, 2019 @ 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Join the Rogue Native Plant Partnership for a day of habitat restoration on the peak of Mt. Ashland near the ski resort!

The heavy equipment needed to make renovations to the Mt. Ashland ski lodge caused vegetation to be lost near the Sonnet bunny hill. Join us to help replant this hillside with native wildflowers and grasses and restore it to a more beautiful and pollinator friendly area.

We’ll use teamwork to transfer plugs from trays and into the ground. You’ll learn about each of the native species we’re planting, and you’ll be contributing directly to expanding pollinator habitat and restoration efforts.

Please bring weather-appropriate clothing, sun protection, water, garden gloves, and a hand trowel (also a gardener’s kneeling pad if you have one).

**Please note that the date of this event may change due to snow pack. We expect the snow to be mostly melted by June 1st but may have to move the event back if we’re wrong about that.
